Description

On [Znamierowski 1999, p. 32, there is definition of a lance pennon, "A lance pennon is a small flag that is hoisted from the top of a lance" and an image of the Jordanian lance pennant. Is this an officially prescribed lance pennon of some ceremonial unit?

Lance pennons were used by Jordanian cavalry units. The book "The Arab Legion" contains one b/w photo from 1944 showing one variant of the lance pennon used during a parade of the Household Cavalry Squadron.

Another different pennon is on a colour plate showing a trooper (Household Cavalry Squadron) from 1955. I am not sure if this drawing is a good reproduction of the actual pennon, because
